Profile Fields can be used to store demographic and other profiling information about your panelists. This data can in turn be used to create Smart Segments for the purposes of limiting Tasks or Activities, or for filtering response data. You may wish to archive a Profile Field when the data is no longer needed for current projects but could be valuable for future research or historical reference. Archiving helps keep the data set organized without losing potentially important information. Profile Fields can be managed by Analysts from within Site Administration.
To deactivate a Profile Field, follow these steps:
ℹ️ Note:
📍 Go to Site Administration > Panelists
Select the Profile Fields pane
Click the Profile Field to be modified
Click the drop-down arrow in the bottom right of the card and select Deactivate
Profile Fields that have not received responses or do not contain panelist data will list the option to Delete the field. Deleted fields cannot be recovered.
Profile Fields that have received responses can only be deactivated.
Once you have completed these steps, you will have successfully deactivated a Profile Field.
